Casas en Suiza es un análisis de la arquitectura de vivienda del país helvético, promovido por el grupo de investigación NuTAC (ETSAM-UPM). La perfección tecnológico-constructiva es uno de los rasgos más enfáticamente apreciados en la arquitectura suiza. La retórica moderna sobre la sinceridad, claridad y racionalización de los sistemas constructivos ha encontrado en Suiza un terreno propicio para su desarrollo y supervivencia. ¿La Suiza del siglo XXI ofrece sólo una perfección técnica desprovista de sentimiento? ¿Tiene la arquitectura suiza otras características notables, alguna de ellas exportable al contexto español? Esta investigación trata de responder a estas preguntas a través de una publicación, que recoge los resultados de las investigaciones realizadas en el curso de postgrado “Nuevas Técnicas y Vivienda” de la ETSAM durante el año 2009.

Casas en Suiza is an analysis of the architecture of Swiss housing, promoted by the NuTAC research group (ETSAM-UPM). Technological-constructive perfection is one of the most emphatically appreciated features in Swiss architecture. Modern rhetoric on the sincerity, clarity and rationalization of construction systems has found in Switzerland a favourable ground for its development and survival. Does the Switzerland of the 21st century offer only technical perfection devoid of feeling? Does Swiss architecture have other notable characteristics? Are any of them exportable to the Spanish context? This research tries to answer these questions through a publication collecting together the results of the research carried out in the postgraduate course ‘Nuevas Técnicas y Vivienda’ (New techniques and housing) at ETSAM during 2009.
